<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Key features of the wax stick</p>

<ul style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Solid wax stick for ultra‑fast application — no tins, no mess, no fuss</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Same premium finish as the paste version — mirror‑bright clarity with rich depth</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">High carnauba + microcrystalline blend — hard, durable surface that still buffs smoothly</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Clean, dry feel — low drag, zero residue, professional look and touch</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Ideal for lathe work and fine woodworking — controlled, precise finish whether by hand or on the lathe.</li>
</ul>

<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">How to use a wax stick on the lathe with friction application:</h3>
<ul style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Ensure the surface is fully sanded and dust free.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">With the lathe running at a moderate speed, lightly apply the wax stick to the spinning work.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Allow the friction to transfer a thin, even coat.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Immediately buff with a clean, soft cloth until a clear gloss develops.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Apply sparingly — thin coats produce the best clarity and shine.</li>
</ul>

<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">How to use a wax stick with a buffing wheel:</h3>
<ul style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Apply a light coat of wax directly to the workpiece or briefly load the buffing wheel.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Buff using a clean cotton or calico wheel at moderate speed.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Allow the heat from buffing to melt and polish the wax into the surface.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Finish with a clean wheel or soft cloth for maximum gloss.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Do not overload the wheel — small amounts produce the cleanest, brightest finish.</li>

<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Pave the way for a flawless final finish using&nbsp;<strong style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Northern Grit Abrasive Paste Original</strong>,&nbsp;minimise fine dust particles and get that silky smooth finish on your wooden, resin and hybrid turnings.</p>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;"><strong style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Made in Great Britain by Northern Grit Finishes.</strong></p>
<h2 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">How to use Abrasive Sanding Paste</h2>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">While your piece is still on the lathe, sand it to approx 240-320 grit taking care to remove any tooling marks.</p>
<ul style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Use a folded paper towel, apply the paste to the wood in a circular motion.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Turn on the lathe (500 rpm) and move the paper towel around the piece.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Keep going until the paste continues to break down and leaves no residue (you will begin to feel the abrasive breaking down, The more it's worked the finer the results).</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Take a clean piece of folded paper towel and move around the piece (500 rpm). If the towel shows signs of the paste then repeat as necessary until the paper towel remains clean.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">When you're done, the piece will have a finish of around 1000 grit.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">For an even smoother result of around 2000 grit, use Northern Grit Ultra-Fine Abrasive Paste. Only use at low speed around 500 rpm as heat is created by friction of the Ultra-fines, lathe rpm can be increased slightly nearing the end of use.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Wipe clean with isopropyl alcohol.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<h2 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Benefits of using Northern Grit Original Abrasive Paste.</h2>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Using an abrasive paste on wood offers several advantages, particularly for woodturning and fine woodworking projects. Here are the key benefits:</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Smooth Finish</h3>
<ul style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Abrasive paste helps to create an exceptionally smooth and polished surface by breaking down scratches and imperfections left by sandpaper.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">It refines the surface to a finer grit than typical sanding can achieve.</li>
</ul>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Time Saving</h3>
<ul style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Using an abrasive paste reduces the need for multiple grit sandpapers, especially at finer levels.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">It allows you to quickly achieve a smooth finish with a true grit that gets results</li>
</ul>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Improved Surface Quality</h3>
<ul style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">The paste can remove minor surface defects, such as small scratches or inconsistencies, resulting in a more even texture.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">It enhances the natural beauty of the wood grain.</li>
</ul>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Enhanced Appearance</h3>
<ul style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Abrasive pastes often contain oils or waxes that enrich the wood's color and add a subtle sheen.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">The polished surface can create a better foundation for subsequent finishes, such as waxes or oils.</li>
</ul>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Reduced Dust</h3>
<ul style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Unlike sanding, which generates significant dust, abrasive pastes minimize airborne particles, making the process cleaner and safer for respiratory health.</li>
</ul>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Versatility</h3>
<ul style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Suitable for a wide range of wood types and projects, from bowls and vases to furniture.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Can be used on both raw and finished wood to improve the surface texture.</li>
</ul>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Ease of Use</h3>
<ul style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Abrasive pastes are straightforward to apply with a paper towel, safety cloth or pad, making them user friendly for woodturners of all skill levels.</li>
</ul>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Prolongs Tool Life</h3>
<ul style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">By reducing the need for repeated sanding, abrasive pastes can help extend the lifespan of sanding equipment and abrasive papers.</li>
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">More reliable when stored in a cold,damp places compared to paperbacked abrasives.</li>
</ul>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Surface Protection</h3>
<ul style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">
<li style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Many abrasive pastes leave behind a protective layer of wax or oil, which can help shield the wood from moisture and minor damage.</li>
</ul>

<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Incorporating abrasive paste into your woodturning or woodworking workflow can significantly enhance the quality and efficiency of your projects.</p>

Record Power Pathfinder Lathe + Victory Chuck Summer Package

<h2 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Sabre 250 Bandsaw includes 3 Pack Blades</h2>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">The BS250 has long been one of Record Power's best-selling bandsaws and has a solid reputation as being probably the best benchtop bandsaw on the market. Following the development of the <a style="text-align: center; color: #000000;" href="/products/record-power-sabre-350-14-bandsaw">SABRE 350</a> and <a style="text-align: center; color: #000000;" href="/products/record-power-sabre-450-18-bandsaw">SABRE 450</a>, they decided to take some of the DNA of these revolutionary new machines and inject it into the BS250, to produce the definitive small bandsaw with premium features and unparalleled performance at this level of the market.</p>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">By taking the most relevant features from the existing SABRE series and applying them to the <a style="text-align: center; color: #000000;" href="/products/record-power-bs250-bandsaw">BS250</a>, they believe they have produced the best benchtop bandsaw available on the market below £400.</p>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">In addition, they believe that the capacities, power and performance upgrades, combined with the unique SABRE features now found on this machine, make it a real contender in the general purpose floor-standing bandsaw category when combined with the BS250-AW stand and wheel kit. In this configuration it has quality and features well ahead of many of the lower cost floor-standing machines available in the market.</p>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">The end result is a premium-quality, affordable bandsaw which retains the compact size of the BS250 while offering improved capacities, usability, accuracy and performance.</p>
<h2 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Record Power BS250 Bandsaw Blades (BB70)</h2>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">These blades fit the following bandsaws; Record Power RSBS10, BS250, Sabre 250, Clarke CBS335 &amp; Nutool HBS14.</p>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Record Power blades are manufactured in the UK to high tolerances using specialist premium high carbon steel. An exhaustive quality control process, featuring digital tooth profile checks and set analysis, result in blades which cut straighter and last longer than the vast majority of other blades on the market.</p>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Blade length 70 1/2"</p>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Supplied in a pack of 3, one each of 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2"</p>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Skip tooth pattern.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Band Wheels</h3>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">The improved, heavier band wheels give smooth and powerful performance.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Double-Sided Rip Fence Mount</h3>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">The fence mount design allows the fence to be placed to the right-hand side of the blade, with the fence extrusion secured on the opposite side of the mount. Ideal for supporting timber when cutting with the table at an angle.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Cam-Action Blade Tension Adjustment</h3>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Usually found only on larger machines, the strong tensioning system features a cam-action tension release to help make blade change quick and easy.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Easy-Adjust Blade Guides</h3>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">The spring-loaded blade guides can be adjusted quickly and easily without tools.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Fine Adjustment</h3>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">The rip fence mount features easily accessible screws for fine adjustment of the fence in relation to the blade, for increased accuracy.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Table</h3>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">A solid, finely ground cast iron table provides an ideal and low friction work support.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Integral Rip Fence Holder</h3>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">When the rip fence is not in use it can be stored safely on the side of the machine.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Offset Door Hinges</h3>
<p style="text-align: center; color: #000000;">Even with the bandsaw positioned with the spine against the workshop wall, the offset hinges enable the door to open far enough to give good access for blade changes without the need to take the door off or move the bandsaw away from the wall.</p>
